Healthcare in America
Published by admin on September 11, 2011Everyone can see the current world we live in now. Global warming or climate change is real and we know this now. We also know what the outlook holds for us 50 to 100 years down the road. Our leaders continue to ignore the biggest issue of them all. Our planet Earth and our way of living. Since the adults in control now are not taking care of it, this means our children and grandchildren will have to clean up the mess we left. When is clean-up expected to get serious? Hopefully in the next 10 years, but more like 40 years probably. This means the same young and healthy 20 year old today, will have to pay for the elderly’s healthcare now and when they reach 60 will have to sacrifice their quality of life for the climate change clean up.
By the time our younger generation starts on the global warming issues, energy issues, food issues, over-populated issues, and just the fact we used up all our natural resources, the people that made these laws will be dead and long gone. The old guys in Washington, D.C. wanted this health care bill for one reason only. So they didn’t have to pay for their medical bills and social security would be around long enough to assist them. The thought is that prescription drugs like those for hypertension and asthma medications will be lower if the government is involved. If you’re 20 years old now, you have to keep social security floating, reduce quality of life each year, and then start the clean-up process for climate change. Not fair and I support you! I believe the youth in America have two ways they can stand up and be heard. If you’re against the latest U.S. Health Care Bill, I suggest you follow one of these two plans, if not both:
1. Don’t Pay – If millions and millions don’t pay, this will cause them more money sending out documents, paperwork, envelopes, and if enough people follow this step, I think the health care bill would get retracted. Make it cost them money and not make money off the American people.
2. Use It – Who cares if you’re healthy and not a bit sick. If you’re forced by your government to pay for something you really don’t need, then by all means go to the doctors and hospital emergency rooms. Emergency rooms can’t keep up now. Flooding our hospital emergency rooms with healthy people would have powerful consequences and if enough do this, I think the bill gets retracted.
While it doe have some provisions to protect those with cancer or long term disabilities from being denied coverage it forces many healthy people to take on a cost that they may have opted out of. People living in Florida should not be forced to buy snow shoes. People living in New York should not be forced to buy sun tanning lotion. Why on Earth would you make 18, 28, or 38 year old people pay for something they don’t need? Yes some will need it, perhaps most will use it once a decade, and I get that. We prepare smarter meals and more information about eating healthy today. Not many are going to be getting sick these days and even fewer as time goes on.
